A fully refundable deposit will be required for all loans. This is set at £200 for domestic loans and £250 for business loans. In the event of any damage or loss to equipment the deposit will be withheld.
Induction, Fitness to Ride and terms of hire
Before any bike is hired out all hirers will be required to complete an induction and demonstrate that they are able to operate the cargo bike to the satisfaction of the hirer. A bike inspection in the presence of both parties will be carried out. Please see our full Terms and Conditions for further details below. Both parties will sign a ‘Fitness to Ride’ form in respect to the above.
Proof of identity and address is needed before bikes are hired. Copies of these will be held whilst the bikes are on hire and will be destroyed immediately on return of bikes.
Security
As a requirement of our insurance we take the security of our cargo bikes very seriously. Diamond Level bike locks and chains are provided with bikes hired and it is a condition of the hire agreement that the provided locks will be used to secure the bikes to an immovable object whenever the bikes are left alone. Bikes should be locked within a garage or similar when left overnight. All hirers will be requested to explain overnight storage arrangements.
